This is where the idea of CFHA was born in 1967 – in the Quaker (Friends) Meeting House in Ifield.

The trustees of the Dorking and Horsham Area Quaker Meeting gave their blessing to the project and leased the land for the building of Camfield in the grounds behind the Meeting House – the 99 year lease goes to 2071.

The date of 1676 on the keystone above the door, makes the Ifield Meeting House nearly the oldest purpose-built Quaker Meeting House in the country. The Meeting House is a Grade 1 listed building.

The mounting block is a grade 2 listed artefact.
